National Search Services is looking for a Database Administrator located in the Orlando area.

Responsibilities:

• Design of the database software and hardware;
• Installation and configuration of database servers and failover clusters;
• Database version and service pack upgrades;
• Vendor database and process upgrades;
• Hardware and database performance monitoring with tools such as PerfMon, SQL Profiler, Idera Diagnostic Manager, CRON Scripts, Oracle Enterprise Manager, SQL Plus, SQL Server Management Console and Query Analyzer;
• Object, index and query optimization;
• Development of SQL Objects, SSIS packages, and automated processes;
• Implementation, configuration and support of high availability technologies such as log-shipping, SQL Server replication and Golden Gate replication;
• Implementation, configuration and support of backup processes for complete, differential and transaction log backups using native SQL tools, Idera compression tools and RMAN scripts;
• Complete RMAN duplicates, exports and imports;
• Implementation, configuration and support of database maintenance processes;
• Configuring security access for users and applications, and;
• Implementation, configuration and participation in disaster recovery systems, processes and tests.

Minimum Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience working with relational databases in an administrative capacity
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
• Ability to effectively communicate with peers and supervisors
• Ability to maintain a positive and productive work environment
